[Promotum] Cirrus 'chute used in real life

The Cirrus SR20 and SR22 made a big splash in the industry with their
"Cirrus Airframe Parachute System" a few years ago(basically a general
aviation aircraft with a built in parachute system). Lots of folks bought
the planes because of the parachute, although there's been some question
about how effective it would be. According to Aviation Consumer the
descent rate could be as high as 19MPH, so landing on a hard surface
could be worse than attempting a belly landing. Anyway, it was used for
the first time last week in regular operation by a guy in Texas with
aileron troubles-he walked away from the accident after landing in a
wooded area by a golf course. Along with the article in the Duluth
newspaper there's a blurb up at Cirrus' site, along with a photo of the
deployed chute from one of their test drops.
