Check out my Canadian odyssey!

Homeward bound in the new bus from 8 to 11 May 1999.

I love my Volkswagens.

I've been a subscriber to the type 2 bus list, and it's predecessor, the Vanagon mailing list, since late '94. They're basically mailing lists devoted to the maintenance and upkeep of VW buses, and the good folks on the list were quite helpful in my early days of VW maintenance. Pim VanLoon has the biggest collection of VW links that I know of, so rather than recreate them here, I'll just refer you to his pages.

What do I do in my bus? So far, my most mammoth expedition was a 7 1/2 week round trip from Austin Texas to the shore of the Arctic Ocean. I did the Canadian portion with about 14 other VW buses, all of us having met on the Vanagon mailing list. Want to know more? I ran regular email reports of the journey, and upon my return created web pages from the original emails and the photos I took along the way. It was one heckuva adventure, I hope to have another trip like that someday.
