First Solo 9-22-03

Flew from Concord to Napa this morning, and finally got that moment I've been waiting for; my CFI stepped out. It was pretty uneventful, which is exactly how I wanted it. The old chinese curse "may you live in exciting times" applies to aviation... The main difference was that the bird's much easier to fly without all that dead weight in the left seat. Did 3 patterns at Napa, had some minor problems but nothing too bad. Just little things like controlling the rpm and such. My last approach was a bit lower than I'd like but ok. Overall it was rather enjoyable to pop around up there all by my lonesome. Looks like we'll do another supervised solo tomorrow at Rio Vista, then Friday I'll probably be on my own. Cool.
